The MVFD Takes Top Honors at Red Hook Parade!
The Milan Fire Department won four trophies at Red Hookís Block Party Parade and firemenís competition on July 25th. One trophy in the firemenís competition and 3 for the judged parade.

The Firemenís competition consists of races and challenges involving common firefighting skills. This skills include putting on turn out gear, moving rolled hoses and such. Our team consisting of Assistant Chief Todd VanBuskirk II, Engineers Kurt Mizgier, and Tomm Gomm, Firefighter Chris Delfino, and Jr Firefighter R.J. Shepard, took second place. Good Job guys!

The parade was judged on many factors including appearance, and how well the members marched together. The first of three trophies were for the Most in Line of March Thirteen and Over, the second was First Place Thirteen and Over. The last and largest trophy was First Place Over All, the first time in recent memory the Milan Fire Department has won that trophy any where. Again good job guys!
